How to Avoid Referrer Spam - Traffic Coming From Unknown and Strange URL

From last two months, my blog suffered from strange traffic coming from unknown URLs.These type of traffic are called as Referrer Spam These strange traffic are also called as Log Spam or Referrer Bombing.
These are the type of spammy traffic are mostly generated from Taiwan, China.Russia, Ukraine by hackers
Referrer Spam is bad bot program.

How to Avoid Referrer Spam - Traffic Coming From Unknown and Strange URL

 If you see any URL generated from above URLs then it will be a referrer spammer and Don't Click on that URL

 For identifying these spam URLs I personally suggest some tips:-

  • URLs that have 100% bounce rate
  • Links that have many strange extensions like .xyz that are also shown in above pic
  • Links that are written in another language as we can see first entry in the above picture and this URL is written in Russian
  • URLs that has meaningless naked domain when interpreted like sjdhdjied.pc.jap
  • Links which have hacking, trogon, malware, virus and other adult sensitive words
  • Sometimes links have 0% bounce rate are considered as a spamming link

Following prevention tips you can adopt for avoiding these links affects are:-
  • Don't click on these URLs
  • Never post any content that is linked with your website logs
  • Ignore these URLs and wait with patience for blocking them by Google
