Referrer Spam is a bot that sends fake traffic to your blog and this fake traffic is recorded by our Blogspot stats and Google Analytics.Actually, there is no permanent solution for preventing these types of spam traffic because google and these bad bots are like a mouse and cat.Google blocks millions of these URLs but the next day they are double or triple in the no. because bad bot programs have many ways and many tricks to generate fake traffic. Here are some article related to this article:-

But I have a solution by which we can stop these fake traffic to some extent using google analytics. So let we start:-
Google Analytics and Blogger Stats both can record these type of traffic but we all know that Google Analytic is much more efficient and accurate than the Blogspot stats.
So do following steps:-
- Login to your analytics account and click on reporting tab and then click on Acquisition that is situated in the left-hand corner and then goes to all traffic and finally selects referrals. It will show all traffic sources websites as shown in the below image
- Now identify Links that are referrer spams. Mostly the URLs have 100% and 0% bounce rate are considered as spammy traffic. To know more tips for identifying spammy links please follow below post:-
How to Avoid Referrer Spam - Traffic Coming From Unknown and Strange URL
- I checked some URLs after reviewing these as shown in above image and made the following expression:-
с\.новым\.годом\.рф|traffic2cash\.xyz|net-profits\.xyz|web-revenue\.xyz|traffic-cash\.xyz
- How to make like above regular expression:-
- Use " \. " between every part of the domain and use " | " symbol for separating every link. For example, Consider your blog hits by two spammy URLs "ads123.abc59055xxb896.comtom" and "dd54.xy789z.usjpa" then we made following resultant expression:-
"ads123\.abc59055xxb896\.comtom|dd54\.xy789z\.usjpa"
- Now do filtering work to do this go to admin tab and select filter tab in all website tab and add a filter and after that create a custom filter and paste the regular expression in filter pattern box as shown in below fig.
- Don'T Forget to select Host Name from the Filter Field and after that, click on "verify this filter" tab for verifying the whole configuration that you made and at last click on save.
Now your filter is ready and avoids fake traffic coming from URLs that you paste in the filter pattern box
