Review of WD Elements and WD Passport Ultra - Which Hard Disk Drive is Better

Last time I posted an article named Things Must Be Remember In Buying A Hard Disk Drive- Internal and External Hard Disk Gadget Tips in which I discuss tips for choosing the best hard disk .Today I will compare two models of WD(WESTERN DIGITAL) after doing review of both two machines:-

  • Elements
  • My Passport Ultra

Elements:

It is the entry-level hard disk of western digital. Its specification is given below
  • Available Colors: Only in black
  • Capacity: 500 GB to 2 TB
  • Hardware Encryption: No
  • Grip Packed: No
  • Metal Layer Protection: No
  • Cloud/Dropbox: No
  •  Software Back-Up: No
  • Price as compared to other models: Low
  • USB: 2.0,3.0
  • Auto Data Synchronization: No

My Passport Ultra:

My passport ultra is the advance and compact type of hard disk as compared to Elements. Its specification is given below:

  • Available Colors: 5
  • Capacity: 500 GB to 2 TB
  • Hardware Encryption: Yes
  • Grip Packed: Yes
  • Metal Layer Protection: No
  • Cloud/Dropbox: Yes
  •  Software Back-Up: Yes (Smart share pro)
  • Price as compared to other models: High
  • USB: 2.0,3.0
  • Auto Data Synchronization: Yes

My Passport Ultra new is also now available. It comes up to 3 TB with updated back-up software and if you want to buy a hard disk with metal enclosure then go for My Passport Ultra Metal which is a little bit expensive than Ultra new.

I personally use Western Digital My Passport Ultra storage media So I will suggest my passport ultra (new). If you like this comparison then please comment.
